(GE) BWR Steam Turbine Fundamentals
Course Overview
At the completion of this Learning-Doc the
participant will better understand the purpose of a steam turbine and the basic
theory of how energy is transformed from the inletting steam to torque within
this steam turbine. Major topics include
the thermal cycle, basic steam turbine theory, basic turbine construction, general
design considerations, and the purpose of the steam valves (includes the bypass
valves).
